Work Well
This pilot initiative was initially established during the first phase of the Strategy through funding from Investing for Health (the public health strategy for Northern Ireland), as well as the Working for Health strategy. It is based at the Public Health Agency offices in Ormeau Avenue (formerly the Health Promotion Agency).
This scheme assisted 20 small companies within the North and East of Northern Ireland with the development of a company- specific Action Plan, based on employee questionnaires concerning their specific workplace health needs, with initiatives developed as a consequence.
Following evaluation of the pilot, Work Well has now developed into a 4 day training course. This is suitable for all those who are planning to develop and implement workplace health initiatives within their own workplace, or who are seeking more information in the field of workplace health.
