Programme Team update

Each of the Programme Teams have been diligently working on their action plans for the 2008 - 2011 period, since their first meetings took place in January 2008.

Details of the high level objectives set for each Team are highlighted within the relevant sections on this website.

Each group meets approximately three times per year.

Links have also been established to numerous other government departments.

As a consequence, Working for Health is represented on a recently established interdepartmental working group created by the Department of Social Development (DSD) to discuss the recent Welfare Reform White Paper entitled "Raising Expectations and Improving Support" (Department of Work and Pensions, December 2008) . It is expected that the Government's recent response to the Dame Carol Black Review (covering England, Scotland and Wales) will also be discussed from a local perspective.

The ongoing work of the Programme Teams on their Action Plans will be influenced by this working group and may be subject to change.

Updates will be provided on the ongoing work of the Programme Teams on this site.
