EMAS
The Employment Medical Advisory Service (EMAS) provides a free, confidential, accessible, expert, independent service on health matter relating to work.
It is staffed by a specialist doctor and support staff.
It advises on:
- how to manage employees who are sick;
- rehabilitation;
- fitness to work;
- occupational health services;
- first aid
In the area of workplace risks to health, it provides advice on risk assessments, control measures and health surveillance.
